Okay, so, I got this thing for Jaeger-LeCoultre watches, especially the Reverso. I mean, who doesn’t love a watch that can flip over, right? It’s like having two watches in one! The other day, I decided to try and mess around with this Reverso Tribute Monoface, you know, the classic style one.

First things first, I got my hands on the watch. It’s got this really smooth steel case, and the lines are super clean. Feels really solid and well-made. Then I started playing around with the flipping mechanism. It’s so satisfying to just flip the watch face back and forth. I must have done it like a hundred times.

Next, I started looking at the details. It is interesting that “I turn around” in Latin which is kind of cool if you think about it. The dial is silvered, and the hour markers are these simple, elegant little things. And the hands! They’re this beautiful blued steel, and they just glide across the dial. It’s mesmerizing, seriously.

I wore the watch around for a few days, just to see how it felt in real life. And let me tell you, it’s comfortable. Like, really comfortable. The leather strap is soft, and the watch itself is not too heavy, not too light. I also got a few compliments on it, which is always nice. I heard a person said, “With its harmonious lines…” when he saw my watch. I thought he said too much.

Now, I did a bit of digging online about this watch. The price of the Reverso is not cheap but I think it is worth it. If you buy a second hand one, the price is much better but it may not have a warranty. Some website even offers “24 months warranty and 90 days to open purchase”. I did not try, but it looks great!

I also found out that there’s a “Calendar” version of this watch, which is even more complicated. I saw it on the website and now I’m kind of obsessed with it. It’s got a moon phase, a day and date display. It is like a mini-computer on your wrist! I think I might have to start saving up for that one.

All in all

Messing around with the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface was a blast. It’s a beautiful watch, it’s well-made, and it’s just plain fun to wear. I will try to get more information about the watch and I hope I can get more watches to play with and share with you guys.
