My grandson, he’s always on that computer thing, he told me all about it. He said this Rolex Submariner, it’s a classic, been around forever. Like those old movies, you see, the tough guys, they all wear these watches.

I saw a guy selling these watches on the street corner the other day. He had a whole suitcase full of ’em. Different colors, too. He said that it is classic style, never goes out of fashion. But the black one, that’s the real Rolex Submariner look. But I don’t know, it is not good to buy fake stuff.

I told her, “Honey, that watch costs more than your grandpa’s old truck!” I guess she can dream, right?
Now, that Casio, that’s a good watch. My other grandson, the one who’s good with his hands, he’s got one of those. Says it’s tough as nails. He works construction, you know, always bangin’ around. That Casio, it can take a lickin’. And it’s cheap, too! Not like that Rolex Submariner, you gotta sell a kidney to buy one of those! He said the Casio is good for work.
That Rolex Submariner, it is a good looking watch, though. You can find lots of these watches online, that internet thing. My grandson says you gotta be careful, though. Lots of fakes out there. Even fakes of the fakes! It’s a crazy world. You never know what you are going to get. Better to see it in person, I always say. Hold it in your hand, feel the weight. Then you know it’s real, or real enough, at least.
You know, even if it is a fake, it still tells the time, right? And if it looks good, who cares? As long as you’re happy with it, that’s all that matters. But don’t go around braggin’ that it is real, that is just stupid. People will know. Just say you like the classic style, that’s all. That is enough. If you get a high imitation Rolex Submariner, just enjoy it!
